The Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact is an ongoing effort
nationwide to establish interstate licensure. During the compact creation process,
public comments are called for to guide the Occupational Therapy Compact
Commission (OTCC) with drafting rules and bylaws. As of now, the OTCC has
published bylaws that are open for public comments and feedback.
The Executive and Rules Committees have drafted and
approved the updated OTCC Bylaws. There are actionable next steps for you
to take:
1. The
draft Bylaws are posted on the Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy’s home
page for the public comment period until January 26, 2024.
2. A
link to the draft Bylaws is on the OTCompact.org
home page. The instructions to submit comments are on the home page and
in the draft Bylaws.
3. You
are invited to review the draft Bylaws and submit your comments during the
comment period.
Any questions, concerns, or comments regarding the public comment
period for the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact are to be made directly to
the OTCC.
